Some of our members have started asking for details about the Naughty or Nice event this Saturday, and it’s high time we laid out all the information about it. The day will have a different format than most Saturdays — keep reading so you don’t miss any key details!
1st important detail: PRICE OF ADMISSION. (Wait, what??) Yes, that’s right. Your price of admission to do the WOD on Saturday is to bring an unwrapped toy for us to donate to Seattle Children’s Hospital. Not sure what to get? 3rd important detail: Please register for the event in advance. Registration is completely free and takes about thirty seconds — there is not even a service charge. Why do it? It will help us keep track of how many members participate, and will help us plan better events in the future. It will also allow us to properly thank you for participating!
Schedule: We will run heats of the workout from 9am-12pm — there will not be a regular class schedule. The Naughty or Nice WOD is a 12 minute AMRAP of hang power cleans, over the bar burpees, and wall balls. Heats will be filled on a rolling basis, so once we have enough people to start a heat, we’ll start the clock. Our social will be running at the same time as the workouts, so come hang out before and after you work out!
All participants will be responsible for warming themselves up. We will have a suggested warm up written on the whiteboard; please arrive 30+ minutes before your desired heat time to allow for that and to sign up for your heat.
I’ve gotten a few requests for an early morning workout that day. If you want in on that, please register for the event first, then email me by Thursday morning. If enough people commit, we will be happy to open the gym for a 7.30am heat.
