Let’s talk shoulders! We use them pretty much all the time in CrossFit. You already know the basic importance of protecting your shoulders by building strength through strict movements before kipping (right??), but have you ever wanted to learn more about shoulder health? Healthy joints move freely and easily, and you can’t perform at your best if mobility restrictions, stability issues, or joint pain is holding you back.
The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, which means it’s also the most vulnerable to injury. This workshop is designed to gain a deeper understanding of shoulder functionality, how to increase mobility (and why stretching isn’t the answer), and teach methods to eliminate compensation patterns to keep shoulders healthy for a lifetime. The result? Increased pulling/pushing strength and decreased risk of injury!
Whether your shoulders are in perfect condition or you have ever experienced shoulder pain or tightness, come join the Kinetic Sports Rehab team on TUESDAY, NOV. 21 @ 5.30PM to bulletproof your joints and maximize your movement potential. The workshop will be held in the back room at Twenty Pound Hammer. Come early or stay late for your evening class, or stop in after work if you’re usually a morning person. The back room will be reserved for the shoulder workshop from 5.30-6.30pm, so please plan your individualized workouts accordingly if you normally utilize open gym during these times.
