I grew up in Seattle playing sports my entire life, baseball being my favorite. Much like baseball, strength and conditioning movements require a great deal of technique in order to lift heavier weights and move quicker. I continue to be motivated by connecting with members at the gym and finding ways to make other people better, much like the coaches growing up did for me. My love for coaching started back then: being coached by people that love what they do. Today, I hope to convey the same enthusiasm in all of my classes.
My ideal workout would be a long mobility warmup, a snatch complex and a 12-16 minute METCON
Outside the gym, I enjoy going to flea and farmers markets, cooking, writing, and watching the same movies over and over.
A really cool experience I’ve had is that I traveled to Spain for two weeks seeing my favorite band, Wilco, perform in Barcelona and Madrid back-to-back nights.
