Coach Johnathon

I’ve been strength training since 2008. What began with me learning fitness for myself became the groundwork for how I coach and work with people now. Over the years I learned how much strength training can change someone’s confidence and day-to-day life, and that naturally led me to coaching.

My coaching style is simple. I’m prepared, pay attention, give clear direction, and keep people safe. My focus is on movement quality, consistency, and fostering an environment where folks feel supported and know exactly what they’re working on.

Coaching in different gyms has helped me understand what creates a strong member experience, what gets in the way, and what actually matters in a class. I’m detail-oriented, and believe having clear systems in place helps members and coaches show up at their best.
I want everyone who walks into TPH to have fun and feel welcomed, coached, and supported, no matter their experience level.

Favorite Movement: Anything that gets the endorphins going!
Least favorite movement: Box Jumps

My motivation as a coach: It completely fills my heart when someone realizes they can do more than they thought, or when they finally feel comfortable in a gym that used to intimidate them.
