Tony Brown
Tony Brown
Tony played a variety of sports growing up, and was that kid who dropped his backpack off at home and was back out the door before his parents even realized he had come and gone. He found CrossFit in his early twenties, and that quickly became his main source of activity and exercise. He instantly enjoyed the camaraderie and challenge of mastering the wide variety of skills and domains required by the sport of CrossFit.
He competed at the Granite Games twice on a Pro team of four, and has competed in 9 CrossFit Opens, finishing 663rd in the world in 2021. Tony has qualified for two consecutive CrossFit Quarterfinals, and has found enjoyment in a more balanced lifestyle between being a coach and athlete.
He believes in sharing health and fitness to as many people as possible through movement, nutrition, and community, and has yet to find a place that does that better than the community and confines of a CrossFit gym.
Outside the gym, you can find Tony napping, exploring the outdoors, riding a mountain bike, or eating anything wrapped in a flour tortilla.
My ideal workout would include anything with a heavy barbell…and no running.
A really cool experience I’ve had is when… a friend and I took a week long camping and mountain biking trip in Colorado. I biked, hiked, and was on my feet for all seven of those days and logged well over 100 miles. I got to see a variety of beautiful landscapes all across the western and southern portions of the state. I am looking forward to taking some similar trips in Washington!
